
REGISTRATION
The Puzzling World Mini Challenge, supported by Sport Central, is open to all children under 5 years old. Participants will get to ride, slide and stride their way to the finish line where the red carpet and official event chute will be waiting. All participants will receive a certificate and medal for taking part.
It is encouraged that each participant has one caregiver to take part alongside them.
The course will be:
- Ride (scoot/bike) 200m-400m
- Slide (waterslide) 15m
- Stride (Run/ Walk/ Dance) 300m
Perfect for tiny humans ready to run, wheel or wobble with pride, the Mini Challenge brings the joy of sport to life with laughter, cheers and community spirit. Whether your child cruises in on a balance bike or skips across the finish line, it’s all about participation, confidence and fun!
Part of the Gallagher Insurance Challenge Wānaka Festival — where kids of all ages get active, have fun and discover the thrill of giving sport a go.

OTHER INFORMATION
On the date of the Event you must be 2 years or older.
Helmets are COMPULSORY and need to come with you on race day to the event. Please check your helmet is the right size which fits your head well and is not damaged or cracked. We also recommend you have your helmet inspected by your local bike shop and replace the helmet if there is any sign of damage.
Bikes will need to be collected at the end of the race. Challenge Wānaka cannot take responsibility for any bikes left at Pembroke Park after the race has finished.
Finish Line
Once each child has crossed the finish line and received their certificate and participation medal.
We encourage parents to advise their child before race day that if they become lost on course or at the event, talk to a event marshall or go directly to the finish line and ask an event official for help.
